Structure-function integration
Stator frames often need stiffness, a precise bore, and heat paths in a tight envelope. Metal AM can combine those regions in one blank, then CNC only the stator interface.
- Separate structural ribs from cooling lattices in the drawing notes
- Call primary flange datums before any coating discussion
