Design intent
A rear-subframe exhibit blank is useful for talking through mount lands, envelope, and which faces must be milled after metal AM — not for quoting a finished chassis SKU.
- Call which bushing or bolt faces are critical
- Keep wall stock for taps or inserts where needed
- Separate cosmetic skins from structural ribs
Manufacturing notes
Orient so internal cavities stay flushable after support removal. Mark any sealing or datum faces that must be secondary-finished.
What to put on the RFQ
- Preferred alloy family
- Envelope and critical mount flatness
- Any coating keep-out zones (state them; we do not invent certifications)
